We are a non-profit technology incubator with a simple belief: digital skills and technology access should be free for everyone. Founded in 2026, FDIC exists to close the digital divide โ one workshop, one tool, one learner at a time.
FDIC was founded by a group of volunteer developers and educators who kept meeting the same people in their work: talented students, job seekers, and small business owners who were being left behind because they couldn't afford technology or didn't know how to use it.
Empowering underserved communities through free digital education and technology access. We remove the cost and skill barriers that keep people out of the digital economy.
A world where digital literacy is as universal as reading and writing โ where every person, regardless of income, can use technology to learn, work, and build a better life.
A small group of volunteer developers and educators begin meeting to discuss why technology access is still out of reach for so many people.
Free Digital Innovation Center is formally established as a non-profit technology incubator with a mission focused on accessibility, inclusion, innovation, and community.
We launch digital literacy training, free software toolkits, small business tech support, and school technology programs โ with much more on the way.
Free, usable, and barrier-free by default.
No one is left out โ by income, age, or background.
Creative, low-cost solutions to real problems.
Built with and for the people we serve.
FDIC is powered by volunteers โ software developers, teachers, designers, and community organizers who give their time because they believe digital access is a right.
